Welcome to John Moser's Image Workshop / Playground

A Rare Day on the River

Thank goodness for our adventurous friend, Elli, who decided to celebrate her birthday in the middle of the James River, in downtown Richmond, today.

Elli is an inspiration and helps me remember that life is about living and living it up!

The party lasted all day – friends arrived and passed through and we occupied and explored islands, catfish holes and whitewater rapids.

We may have found a footprint from an ancient giant.

…and possibly some fossilized teeth embedded in a rock.

Naturally, I found some of the usual suspects that I always find lurking around outdoors.

I don’t think anybody else noticed these guys.

What a fun day! We may have to do this again soon!

Looks like one of those perfect kind of days that always happen unexpectedly (the best kind). Incredible photography, as usual – especially the backwards flip! The one of the back-to-back beauties really should be printed and framed!

  5. Happy Birthday Elli!

I really wanted to come, but bad knee’s prevent me from the serious rock hopping these days. Great memories of this grand river and I’ve never been to this spot. Thanks for photos Juan!!!!!!
